Learn the language to move to work in Australia

I can tell my story of how I was learning English to move to Australia. And what can I personally recommend from my experience? Of course, the first thing I encountered was that I did not know English. That is, I thought I knew him, but in fact, I knew him at such a level that “London - is the capital of Gray Britain”, like that. That is, I didn't know at all. What have I done? I just started looking for a tutor with whom to study. Fortunately, I managed to find a girl, she graduated from a university, English, French, and she trained me well, very hard. She asked me a lot of homework, I probably did my homework every day for three to five hours, every day during the first three months of classes. I wrote, probably, 12 or 14-sheet notebooks a week - purely homework. Plus she gave me a book, I read it. I wrote down all the unknown words in my dictionary. You cannot even imagine how many unknown words there were. It was very difficult for me to read. Plus we watched Friends in English. There is a twenty-minute series. We analyzed them in detail. As a result, the analysis of one episode took, probably, an hour, an hour twenty, that is, they stopped, twisted it many times. The episodes were in English with English subtitles. It was difficult, of course, to listen at first, and not stupidly read the subtitles. I listened all the time in phrases, something was incomprehensible - I listened several times, then read the subtitles to understand how the phrases were spoken. The only thing is that the show is American, and in Australia the accent is Australian, they are really different. What happened next? Then this is a girl, she found a full-time job, and, unfortunately, I was no longer able to study with her. I was looking further for a teacher, tutors. I found a school where they taught English, I went there 4 times a week. And then one day I decided to take some online classes with an English tutor. And it suited me very much! There is an excellent service mmmm, where more than 50 thousand tutors from different countries are registered, all of them are native speakers. And this is the most important thing when learning spoken English.
