Confused about all these Audi gearbox names - help!

I've been looking at getting an Audi for a while now and I thought I had everything figured out until I started digging into the transmission options, and now I'm more confused than ever to be honest. Every time I read a review or watch a video, they throw around names like S tronic, tiptronic, and multitronic like everyone should just know what they mean, but I'm coming from a Toyota with a boring old regular automatic so this is all new territory for me. I've got a budget for a used A5 and I keep seeing different gearboxes listed in the ads, but I have no idea which one is reliable or which one suits my driving style, which is mostly city driving with the occasional weekend trip to the mountains. I found a really helpful article that gave me a Professional Types of Audi Transmission breakdown and explained the basic differences between the dual-clutch and the conventional automatics, which was a good starting point. But I'm still struggling to understand which one tends to have fewer issues in the long run because I plan to keep this car for at least five years and I don't want to end up with a gearbox that's known for expensive problems down the line. I've heard some people say the S tronic is brilliant when it works but can be costly to fix if something goes wrong, while others swear by the tiptronic for its smoothness and durability. I'm not a particularly sporty driver, I just want something that feels smooth, responsive, and won't give me headaches. If anyone has real-world experience with these different transmissions, especially in the A5, I'd really appreciate your honest opinions because I'm at that stage where I'm ready to buy but I need to make the right choice first time. Thanks everyone.
