I haven’t used the absolute latest version myself yet, but here are my thoughts based on tests and what I’ve read:
HD uploads & lag: A better VPN might help reduce throttling and improve streaming speed, but it won’t fully eliminate lag if the VPN server or your internet is slow.
Battery usage: VPNs often add overhead, so yes — expect a little more battery consumption, especially on mobile.
Stability & safety: Use a well-known, audited VPN (with a no-logs policy). Free or obscure ones may compromise your privacy.
Extra features: Look for split tunneling, server switching, kill switch, etc.

Has anyone tested the CapCut VPN latest update? I read that the new version comes with faster servers and smoother streaming for CapCut templates. I’m curious if it’s worth switching to from the older release.
Does it handle HD uploads better and reduce lag during editing sessions? Also, I’d love to know if it consumes a lot of battery on mobile devices. Any feedback on stability, safety, or extra features would help me decide if I should install it or wait for another update.
