Which Terminal Does Spirit Airlines Use at LAS?

Spirit Airlines operates exclusively out of Terminal 1 at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS).

Terminal 1 Key Information:

  • Ticketing and Check-In: Level 2

  • Security Checkpoint: Level 2

  • Gates Used by Spirit: Concourses A and B

  • Baggage Claim: Level 1

  • Ground Transportation: Level 1, outside Baggage Claim

Terminal 1 is the original terminal at LAS and services many domestic airlines, including Southwest, American, Frontier, and Spirit.

Check-In and Security: What to Expect

Spirit Airlines Check-In at LAS

Spirit Airlines encourages passengers to check in online or via its mobile app before arriving at the airport to avoid long lines and additional fees. If you need to check in at the airport, Spirit has several self-service kiosks and staffed ticket counters on Level 2 of Terminal 1.

Airport Check-In Guidelines:

  • Recommended Arrival Time: At least 2 hours before domestic departure

  • Bag Drop Cut-off: 45 minutes before departure

  • Boarding Cut-off: 15 minutes before departure

TSA Security Screening

Once checked in, passengers must proceed to the TSA security checkpoint on the same level. Expect busy lines, especially during peak hours (early morning and late afternoon), as Terminal 1 serves a high volume of travelers.

If you're eligible for TSA PreCheck, you’ll benefit from a faster screening experience.

Terminal Layout: Navigating Terminal 1

After clearing security, passengers are directed to the appropriate concourse. Spirit Airlines flights primarily depart from Concourses A and B.

Concourse A and B Overview:

  • Both concourses are accessible via an escalator or elevator to the tram system from the main terminal.

  • Expect a short ride on the airport’s automated people mover (APM) to reach the gates.

  • Once at the gates, you’ll find Spirit-branded signage and flight monitors guiding you to your flight.

While the terminal layout is relatively simple, give yourself extra time if you’re unfamiliar with the airport or traveling during peak times.

Flying with spirit airlines las vegas terminal 1 can be a smooth, affordable experience—especially if you know what to expect and how to prepare. While the airline is known for its a la carte pricing model, the terminal itself offers plenty of amenities, efficient transport options, and a central location perfect for kicking off your Las Vegas adventure.
