How to pick a ghost writer?

I’ve been working on a YA book idea, but something feels off—it’s just not coming across as fresh, relatable, or ‘young’ enough. Writing for a younger audience is trickier than I expected. The characters don’t feel authentic, and the tone seems too mature for the target readers. I want the book to capture the energy, emotions, and perspectives of Gen Z, but I’m stuck figuring out how to get there. I’m considering reaching out to professional ghostwriters who specialize in YA fiction. Can they bring out that youthful vibe while staying true to the story’s core? For anyone who’s collaborated with a ghostwriter on a YA project, where should I seek help and what should I expect?
